What is a Good GMAT Focus Score?
GMAT Focus Edition scores range from 205 to 805. Here's what different score ranges mean:
- 735-805 - Exceptional (99th percentile) - Competitive for M7 schools (Harvard, Stanford, Wharton)
- 695-734 - Excellent (90-98th percentile) - Competitive for Top 10 MBA programs
- 655-694 - Very Good (75-89th percentile) - Competitive for Top 20 MBA programs
- 615-654 - Good (55-74th percentile) - Competitive for Top 50 MBA programs
- 575-614 - Above Average (35-54th percentile) - Competitive for many MBA programs
- 535-574 - Average (20-34th percentile) - Acceptable for regional MBA programs
- Below 535 - Below average - Limited options at competitive programs
Key Changes in GMAT Focus Edition
- 3 Sections (not 4): Quantitative, Verbal, and Data Insights
- Shorter Test: 2 hours 15 minutes (down from 3 hours 7 minutes)
- New Scoring: 205-805 total (sections scored 60-90 each)

- No Sentence Correction: Removed from Verbal section
